I am 5’10” 1/2. The other day the speech teacher at the school I work at came into the room. She is about 5’11 and a whole person lighter than me. She offered me the bath bomb someone had given her for teacher appreciation week.
My response: “I think I was about 10 years old the last time I fit in a bath tub.”
She laugh-snorted, the shrimpy classroom teacher laughed, and the aides all chuckled heartily.
*awkward quiet sigh*
Speech Teach said, “Yea, my kids asked why we don’t just buy a bigger tub for me.”
We all chuckled and pretended the reason I don’t fit is only because i’m tall.
It isn’t.
Pro Tip: If you’re a big person, life is so much easier when you have a sense of humor about it. Also, hot tubs are an excellent stand-in for a relaxing bath tub soak… and they come in all shapes and sizes!
